Our events continue to bring local businesses together, with a focus on practical ideas, real conversations and building stronger connections.
Our focus remains simple: supporting, promoting and advocating for small business across Greater Hobart.

BGH Networking Event for May
Building an Environmentally Sustainable Business
Thursday 21st May 2026
Florage Tasmania is the state’s only fully accredited, award-winning sustainable florist, with stores in both Launceston and Hobart.
Co-owner Tom Miller will share how he and his partner Andre transformed a traditional neighbourhood florist into a business that challenges how flowers are grown, sold, and consumed in Tasmania.
In an industry heavily reliant on imported product and single use plastics, Florage has taken a different path, sourcing locally grown Tasmanian flowers wherever possible, eliminating plastic waste, and returning organic material back to the soil through composting.
More than a floristry story, this is about rethinking business as usual. How small businesses can lead change, influence customer behaviour, and build strong, loyal communities by making better choices.
