Led by Zelah Dutta-Nielsen with her daughters Zarah and Zerena, the café continues the family legacy established by Zelah’s father, Mike Dutta, who operated the much-loved Macquarie Street Foodstore for 14 years.
Inspired by the family’s time living in Europe, Z Petit Café offers a cosy, alpine-inspired atmosphere, quality coffee and a simple, affordable menu with touches of European and Danish influence.
More than just a place to enjoy good food and coffee, Z Petit Café aims to once again make this iconic location a welcoming community meeting place for South Hobart locals and visitors.
